Forget beer, this holiday season Santa Claus is rockin’ the “cheer gut” thanks to Trailer Choir’s hilarious new reworking of their hit song, “Rockin’ The Beer Gut.”

Written by Trailer Choir’s Butter and produced by Toby Keith & Butter, “Rockin The Beer Gut (‘Holla’ Day Version)” details Santa’s struggles with his weight and is guaranteed to get a laugh this holiday season with its cleverly re-tooled lyrics and boisterous “Go Santa” refrain. It will be available at all digital retailers, including iTunes and Amazon.com, starting December 1.

Meanwhile, the Show Dog Nashville band is performing it at all of their concerts this holiday season, including upcoming shows in St. Louis (12/8), Greeley, Colo. (12/9), Tampa (12/18) and Nashville (12/19).

The original version of “Rockin’ The Beer Gut” has sold well over 200,000 copies at retail and its corresponding video garnered heavy rotation at both CMT and GAC. “Rockin’ The Beer Gut” is from the trio’s debut CD, “Off The Hillbilly Hook,” which was produced by Toby Keith.
