(Official Press Release) Mike Kennedy, VP programming and operations of Wilks Broadcasting in Kansas City said, "I fell in love with 'Beer Gut' from the first listen off their sampler last year. I hope it's this summer's anthem song!" And Lola Montgomery, music director at KKWF in Seattle noted "'Beer Gut' takes lovin' yourself to a whole new level. It's all about rockin' whatcha got---even if it's alot!" "Rockin' The Beer Gut" was recently featured in People Magazine's Country Music special issue, noting that "if you like your country funny, try Trailer Choir," while the Star Beacon adds, "the band [has a] fun-loving, party lifestyle." The Messenger explains the group's draw saying "[they] have their own unique blend of real life sing-along style backyard barbecue songs about livin' life and drinkin' a cold beer with your best friends." With instantaneous 'likeability', the Indianapolis Star observed, "Trailer Choir is building a fan base in Nashville and beyond." In 2007, they came to the attention of Toby Keith, signing to his label Show Dog Nashville. Just a year later Trailer Choir was named 2008's Best New Group Online and have become one of Music City's biggest buzz bands. On June 9th, they will release their debut CD, "Off The Hillbilly Hook," which was produced by Keith. In addition to the attention that the single from the album is gaining, the title track was featured on the hit soundtrack for the movie "Beer For My Horses." Trailer Choir started as a loose association of musicians and singers, usually including Butter and Big Vinny, traveling the Southeast playing private parties and frat houses. Not long after they began performing together, Crystal jumped on stage adding the finishing harmonies to the group. Soon they were having so much fun that folks started to notice. Quotable lines and good time songs only Hey, when a band's list of influences includes Garth, Tammy, Strait, Oprah, David Lee Roth, Elvis and the Sonic Drive-in, expect the unexpected. As the group says, "It's like a backyard barbeque in high definition." “The nearly 400 pound, 6-foot-something overall-clad Tennessean flopping around the floor and wriggling with curiously ballet-like grace on his belly [on Big Vinny doing the pop worm] is a sight that must be seen.” Trailer Choir Summer Tour Itinerary (and more coming soon): June 5 Pittsburgh, PA Saddleridge |
