For many people, the new year marks a new resolution, and country singers are no different. Jimmy Wayne and Bigg Vinny Hickerson and Butter from Trailer Choir shared their 2012 goals with The Tennessean.
“My New Year’s resolution is to get my new music out, film a movie, attend the Super Bowl with the New Orleans Saints, drink less coffee and get a bill passed in the state of Tennessee to extend aging out of the foster care system from 18 to 21,” Wayne says.
Hickerson, who made it into the final four on the last season of The Biggest Loser, dropping 206 pounds since February, wants to spend the next 12 months teaching others what he’s learned about health and fitness. “My New Year’s resolution is to share this blessing I got last year with everyone I can to help the world become more healthy,” he says. “And I want to make millions of people smile.”
Butter, his duo partner in Trailer Choir, is a little more carefree with his pledge. “I want to ride faster horses, drink older whiskey, love my younger wife and make more money Tom T. Hall style.”
